This week, we’ll wave back at the eclipse with music from Gustav Holst’s ‘The Planets’ conducted by Colonel Larry Lang and the Symphony No. 5 ‘The Cosmos’ by the late Virginia Beach composer Johan Franco. Richard Floyd leads the 2011 All-Virginia Symphonic Band in John Mackey’s ‘The Blue Hour,’ and violinist Rieko Suzuki plays the Violin Concerto by Stephen Melillo.
